Biography
Emer Doheny joined the Health Research and Innovation team, Intel in July 2009. Prior to joining Intel, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Physiotherapy and Performance Science in University College Dublin from 2008-2009. She holds a BE in Electronic Engineering (2003) and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (2008) from the School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering in University College Dublin. Her research interests include gait analysis, motor control, neuromuscular electrical stimulation and rehabilitation engineeering. Her research with the TRIL Centre focuses on multi-sensory integration and frailty in the context of falls prevention in older adults.
